Ripe Blood Oranges crushed together with just harvested California Olives. This EVOO has so many uses it is impossible to list them all. It is perfect as a substitute for shortening in cakes, cookies, brownies and sweet breads. Our recipe for banana bread uses it.
Pair with Pomegranate when baking salmon or white fish. Use it to sauté scallops and shrimp. Pair with Bourbon, Cranberry Pear or Rosato on green and fruit salads.
Sam’s favorite dessert is Blood Orange EVOO liberally used over Dark Chocolate ice cream. And sometimes add a dash of Chocolate balsamic and chopped nuts.
